About Scott
Scott is in Lafayette Parish, bordering the city of Lafayette on the east and south, with Ossun to the north. U.S. 90 runs through the middle of town as Cameron Street, about 5 miles from the center of Lafayette, and I-10 runs along the north edge at Exit 97. Its ZIP code is 70583.
The town grew up around the railroad. The line that is now Union Pacific still cuts Scott in two, and the town was named for J. B.
